Eye Care

Daily eye maintenance is a key part of the health and wellness of our pets. And yes, you read correctly: daily! Most pets just need a quick wipe around their eyes with a tissue or a soft, clean cloth, but others need a little more intensive care. Remember, build-up around the eyes can cause bigger issues very fast, so look into those loving peepers every day, and wipe around their little eyes. You clean out the boogies in your eyes every day; why shouldn’t you help your pet clean out theirs?

A softer way to wipe the eyes…

A standard tissue or a clean wash-cloth really does the trick for daily eye wiping, but these sterile sponges are great to have on hand if you want an extra soft and gentle way to wipe around your pet’s eyes. And because they are 100% cotton, they have an amazing ability to “grab” debris better than any tissue.

Sterile Eye Wash for stubborn debris..

Sometimes eye buildup takes a little more help than a dry wipe (even with a cotton sponge) to get the stubborn crusties off properly. This is as basic and clean as it gets. Make sure to keep the cap closed tight in between uses to keep everything clean for your baby’s precious eyes.

Flea Comb for a little extra “oomph”

A good flea comb is excellent for grabbing the little crusty bits around the eyes safely and effectively! Use this tool to gently flick in front of the eyes or wherever you see stubborn build-up start getting stuck around their eyes. If you’ve missed some time in between your eye wipe regimen and your pet has stubborn build-up in front of their eyes, go very gently, use a warm wet wash-cloth (or surgical sponge) to soften the affected area - and if you can’t get it off easily, see a professional stat!

Stubborn Eye-Stains?

There are many eye-stain removing products out there, but this one has a wonderful history of actually working with no need to ingest antibiotics. It just takes some attention and regular application, but watch the eye-stains begin to brighten!
